Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy takes your whole body and mind into account during the process of restoring function and movement. This is usually following injury or illness and may have been present for a long time. Treatments strive to improve quality of life whilst reducing the risk of further injury or worsening.
For a successful intervention, the physiotherapist must get to know a little about you and the problem. Your initial assessment will include questions about you and the problem that will include medical history, some social facts and the current problem. This will allow you and the physiotherapist to devise a treatment plan that is suited to you! Something you will enjoy and get the best out of.
There are a multitude of available treatments that your physiotherapist can use. These will be discussed following assessment as a treatment plan is made.
It is good to remember that, sometimes to improve a problem such as an injury, the injured area needs to be challenged. This can cause some discomfort or pain. Your physiotherapist will advise you if this is the case and provide solutions to minimise discomfort. You should discuss any concerns with your physiotherapist or send an email to contact@helpfulhandsphysiotherapy.com
We fully understand any concerns you may have during the current covid-19 pandemic. If you prefer, assessments can be completed over the telephone or virtually via videocall.
